Wings: Bruising and swelling to L carpus. Sensitive to manipulation. R shoulder a bit lax

Body: Small, thin scabs on abdomen, already starting to flake off
Feather condition: In blood, primaries ~60% grown. Debris matted into feathers on back
Ectoparasites: None seen
Radiographic findings: Fx to proximal L metacarpus
Initial treatment: Gave 0.35cc meloxicam PO + 17cc LRS SQ in R inguinal.

A: Fx to proximal L metacarpus, no shifting felt, area bruised and a bit swollen. ROM at joint normal. Should heal well on own but may affect ROM in joint due to proximity. Fx more likely the result of falling from the nest, do not think bird was hit by a car even though was in a busy road. Scabs on abdomen look like gnat bites. Prognosis fair

P: Rx 3d meloxicam. SF in PM, HF in AM if DNE, wear camo. Collect blood and fecal tomorrow. Put in with other babies and foster once wounds are healed and fecal is clear. Weigh SID. Monitor bruising to L carpus/L metacarpal fx
